==Biography==

Darren Rifkin was born in Yaffo. Little is known of his childhood, and his own claims are contradictory. Based on several sources, it is known that he worked as a mechanic in a repair shop in Yaffo and later in Agra. He was known to write amateur political poetry.

On one of his visits to Jerusalem around 2085 or 2086, Rifkin met a member of the New Sofian Union. He soon become a huge fan of the writings of Meode Hiskins. That's where he got an idea of forming an underground society bound on dominating the states weakened by the World Council.

Over time, Rifkin grew disappointed with Hiskins and started to pursue his own way. His direct actions and pamphlets allowed him to rapidly grow his support base, but the exact methods he used to increase the ranks of his organizations are unknown.

After a brief and hardly successful incursion into legal public politics Rifkin prioritized terroristic means. He soon became a wanted person in most of Mediterranean states, and used this fact for increasing his personal influence.

==Principles of Freedom==

Rifkin formulated four principles of freedom upon which his idelogy of so-called compulsory libertarianism is based.

# Every man can be what he wants to be;
# Every man pursues his desires as far as his hands reach;
# Every man cannot be stopped unless he commits violence;
# Every man can commit violence as long as he is not stopped.

==Mediterranean Settlement Agency==

Amalia Benigni chose Rifkin as a priority target after a terroristic action in Athens (2105). Rifkin successfully eluded pursuit for several years, but in 2108 he was chased to a desert region in Jordan by [[Jemal Ashmeyr]], an agent of MSA, and killed by an air strike of a World Council jet plane ordered through Amalia's personal contacts. Jemal's story of Rifkin's pursuit involved [[Lora Linderman]], Rifkin's long-term lover and associate. Lora is presumed to be dead along with Rifkin, since they shared the same vehicle while attempting to evade capture.

==Current Status==

Darren Rifkin is presumed to be dead. Some of his followers spread rumors that he is alive. Some say he still lives in Riyad and rebuilds his former army.

Xallian Stories follow the paths of several characters, human and alien, who live and act in the 2110s. Some of the main characters are [[George Aronsky]], [[Sally Fisher]], [[Amalia Benigni]], [[Walter Benigni]], [[Darren Rifkin]] and [[Laura Linderman]].

After three wars with Xallians, Eath enjoys a relatively peaceful time. However, the conditions of the last peace agreement, [[Fortaleza Treaty]] of 2170, mean that no human space exploration is allowed outside the orbit of Earth's Moon. The world is divided into multiple states with arbitrary borders and no sizeable armed forces. All military power — as well as civilian authority — is under complete control of a planet-wide international organization, [[World State Council]] (WSC), and its subsidiaries. Some notable subsidiaries of WSC are [[Dispute resolution agency|dispute resolution agencies]] and the [[Civil Supplies Bureau]].

Xallians are sentient humanoid aliens. Their shape, except for lower legs, is similar to the human shape. Their height ranges from 135 to 165 sm (4'5'' to 5'5''), and their weight ranges from 36 to 60 kg (80 to 133 lbs). Xallians with weight above 50 kg are extremely rare, however, human knowledge of the core Xallian populations is limited.

Xallians have three sexes, with "males" being the most prevalent (over 75%). "Females" rarely take part in military expeditions, and no Xallian female had ever been captured. "Third Sex" Xallians are extremely rare (less than 0,1% of the population) and are necessary to ensure the genetic stability of the otherwise fragile population.

Xallians are carbon-based life forms, they require oxygen and water to survive. However, they are distinctly different from humans in a number of anatomic features, and their genetic information is stored in specific string-type molecules different from DNA molecules. Xallians are unrelated to any life forms known on Earth. Xallians are species with no known parasytes or symbiotes. they do not carry any native bacteria or viruses, and are not susceptible to most Earth infections (except for a number of multi-cellar parasites like mites).

Xallians are possibly the only surviving species of their own biological communion. It is presumed that they originate from an Earth-type planet, however, the location of this planet remains unknown.

The Gel-Form is a Xallian technology that allows to cover animate and inanimate objects with a semi-stable gel-type liquid substance.

The Gel-Forms are used for the following needs:

* Securing Xallian bodies prior to the [[Xallian warm hibernation]]. Gel-Form becomes the carcass that provides liquids and oxygen to the body, as well as securing organs and skin to avoid cosmetic damage since hibernation requires increasing body heat and severe dehydration.
* Secuding Human bodies before hibernation.

So, me and Lera -- that's my girlfriend, by the way, though I have no idea where she is, -- used to walk through the Garden and sometimes visit F7. We were already coming back that night, it was around 11 PM. We walked on a pathway on an opening. Two old oaks in front of us. Then, when we got near, two men spawned right behind the oaks and approached us. I screamed, and Lera was exceptionally calm. She held my hand.''

==Biography==

Charlie was born in Kereman in 2190 to a single mother, Katherine Volkhova. His surname is possibly based on the actual city of Volkhov.

Charlie chose to pursue a career in motion design, however, those plans were put to halt when he was brought to a trial after a walk in a night park with his girlfriend, Lera Sterman. Lera's father, an eccentric and rich man, was trying to punish Charlie for his wrongdoings. But a device that he implanted into Charlie's cranium to enforce his "punishment" ended up to be more of a blessing, not a curse.

Charlie was invited into New Hampshire to participate in neurostudies research conducted by the Malin Beg Research Institute.

==Biography==

Darren Rifkin was born in Yaffo. Little is known of his childhood, and his own claims are contradictory. Based on several sources, it is known that he worked as a mechanic in a repair shop in Yaffo and later in Agra. He was known to write amateur political poetry.

On one of his visits to Jerusalem around 2085 or 2086, Rifkin met a member of the New Sofian Union. He soon become a huge fan of the writings of Meode Hiskins. That's where he got an idea of forming an underground society bound on dominating the states weakened by the World Council.

Over time, Rifkin grew disappointed with Hiskins and started to pursue his own way. His direct actions and pamphlets allowed him to rapidly grow his support base, but the exact methods he used to increase the ranks of his organizations are unknown.

After a brief and hardly successful incursion into legal public politics Rifkin prioritized terroristic means. He soon became a wanted person in most of Mediterranean states, and used this fact for increasing his personal influence.

==Mediterranean Settlement Agency==

Amalia Benigni chose Rifkin as a priority target after a terroristic action in Athens (2105). Rifkin successfully eluded pursuit for several years, but in 2108 he was chased to a desert region in Jordan by [[Jemal Ashmeyr]], an agent of MSA, and killed by an air strike of a World Council jet plane ordered through Amalia's personal contacts.

==Current Status==

Darren Rifkin is presumed to be dead. Some of his followers spread rumors that he is alive. Some say he still lives in Riyad and rebuilds his former army.

==Biography==

Amalia Benigni was born in 2045 in Sondrio in the northern part of Italy. Her home town is now part of Piemonte-Lombardia Republic.

In 2070 Amalia moved to New York.

Amalia Benigni was a senior official of the WSC since her thirties. In 2097 she moved from New York to work in Italy. She oversaw the relocation of the Mediterranean Settlement Agency to Remus, which was becoming the largest financial and transportation hub of the region.

Amalia accumulated sizeable resouces, both monetary and military, in her hands. The Agency was her pet project, and she used it to increase the Loyalist influence in Europe and other regions. However, her departure left her Loyalist supporters in New York in a vulnerable position.

==Children==

Amalia Benigni, as of 2108, was never married. Her known partners in Italy were Marcel Saugues, leader of Rey Communcation Group, and Luca Cvelin, a Serbian military officer.

In 2079 Amalia adopted a pair of twins from Italy, Florence and Walter (age 9 at that time), who use her surname and are known as Florence and Walter Benigni. They spent their adolescence years in New York. Walter Benigni later moved to Northern California, and then to England, and worked as a journalist. Florence Benigni became a maritime biologist and relocated to Antarctica in 2106.

Amalia accumulated sizeable resouces, both monetary and military, in her hands. The Agency was her pet project, and she used it to increase the Loyalist influence in Europe and other regions. However, her departure left her Loyalist supporters in New York in a vulnerable position.

The world is divided into multiple states with arbitrary borders and no sizeable armed forces. All military power — as well as civilian authority — is under complete control of a planet-wide international organization, [[World State Council]] (WSC), and its subsidiaries. Xallians are humanoid aliens. Their shape, except for lower legs, is similar to the human shape. Their height ranges from 135 to 165 sm (4'5'' to 5'5''), and their weight ranges from 36 to 60 kg (80 to 133 lbs). Xallians with weight above 50 kg are extremely rare, however, human knowledge of the core Xallian populations is limited.

Xallians have three sexes, with "males" being the most prevalent (over 75%). "Females" rarely take part in military expeditions, and no Xallian female had ever been captured. "Third sex" xallians are extremely rare (less than 0,1% of the population) and are necessary to ensure the genetic stability of the otherwise fragile population.

Xallians are a carbon-based life form, they require oxygen and water to survive. However, they are distinctly different from humans in a number of anatomic features, and their genetic information is stored in specific string-type molecules different from DNA molecules. Xallians are unrelated to any life forms known on Earth.
