Amalia shook her head. It wasn't that she did not think about this solution herself. Violence was always an option. She must have been ready. But with ther chaos that already ensued in Remus she was not able to control what's happening in the streets of her own city. Multiplying this chaos was not in her best interests.

==Biography==

Amalia Benigni was born in 2045 in Sondrio on the northern part of Italy. Her home town is now part of Piemonte-Lombardia Republic.

In 2070 Amalia moved to New York.

Amalia Benigni was a senior official of the WSC since her thirties. In 2097 she moved from New York to work in Italy. She oversaw the relocation of the Mediterranean Settlement Agency to Remus, which was becoming the largest financial and transportation hub of the region.

Amalia accumulated sizeable resouces, both monetary and military, in her hands. The Agency was her pet project, and she used it to increase the Loyalist influence in Europe and other regions. However, her departure left her Loyalist supporters in New York in a vulnerable position.

Amalia Benigni, as of 2108, was never married. Her known partners in Italy were Marcel Saugues, leader of Rey Communcation Group, and Luca Cvelin, a Serbian military officer.

In 2079 Amalia adopted a pair of twins from Italy, Florence and Walter (age 9 at that time), who use her surname and are known as Florence and Walter Benigni. They spent their adolescence years in New York. Walter Benigni later moved to Northern California, and then to England, and worked as a journalist. Florence Benigni became a maritime biologist and relocated to Antarctica in 2106.
